"Downtown" Petey Brown defeated Giant Griffin in the opening match.

Steve Backlund made Aaron Von Baron tap out. But the decision was reversed when Backlund would not release his hold on Von Baron.

"Bullet Proof" Ben McCoy defeated Cooter Bocephus in a lumberjack match.

The next match was a 3 way tag team match for the SDW tag team championship.Champions 3 Under Par ( Chadwick Wentworth III & Brick McCarthy) took on The New Midnight Rockers (Clay Cooper & James Jeffries) and Happy Hour ( Ricky Love & Logan Legend).

3 Under Par retained the SDW tag team titles.

Tommy Lee Curtis defeated Travis Cole.

Mitch Paradise defeated AJ Smooth in a tables match. Smooth replaced SDW champion Aaron Corbin in this match.

PWB St. Paul, MN 1/28/17

The Prophet defeated JD Bandit in the opening match.

In a first round match for the PWB Tag Team championship Jordy Lee & Joey Avalon defeated Angel Caido & Air Wolf.

Venom beat Petey Brown with one punch to the face.

Kody Rice & Giant Griffin defeated "Stonehenge" Joseph Wayne & Angry Dragon in another first round match for the PWB Tag Team championship.

Venom defeated Gerard Castle.

PWB Breakout champion Scott Story beat Lore to retain the title.

PWB Champion Darin Corbin defeated Rob James to retain the title.

Venom wasn't happy with just beating two men in one night so he came out and challenged Darin Corbin for the PWB championship.

Venom pinned Darin Corbin to become the new PWB champion.

PTW Bloomington, MN 1/27/17

This was PTW's January Big Show. I was only able to stay for the first two matches as my daughter had a basketball game that I had to go to.

In the opening match Big Sepp defeated Danny Duggan.

The second match was DOUG VS Darin Corbin. Eugene came to the ring to be in DOUG's corner.

I think Darin Corbin defeated DOUG. I left before the match ended. Wish I would have stayed a little longer as I saw on social media later that night that Corbin got busted open and was a bloody mess.

"All Ego" Ethan Page defeated Space Monkey, Air Wolf and Venom in a 4 way match.

Fest champion Su Young defeated Veda Scott to retain the title.

Burlesque from Scarlette Revolver with hula hoops.

Chuck Taylor beat Kikutaro, Colt Cabana and Joey Ryan in a 4 way match.

Burlesque from Queenie Von Curves.

Dillinger Four was the musical guest.

F1RST Wrestling Wrestlepalooza tag team champions Northstar Express (Darin Corbin & Ryan Cruz) defeated Super Thunder Frog & Wildcat to retain the titles.After the match Corbin hit Cruz with one of the belts to end this long time tag team.

Cody Rice pinned Rob James.

Burlesque from Sweetpea.

Arik Cannon pinned Wrestlepalooza champion Ariya Daivari.

New F!RST Wrestling Wrestlepalooza champion Arik Cannon.

This was Ariya Daivari's last independent wrestling event before he started wrestling full time with WWE. Daivari had his very first match at First Ave so it was great to see him have his last independent match in this building.

Mitch Paradise defeated Lore in the opening match. Paradise is now sporting a mohawk.

Chris Jordan beat Aiden Wake.

Scott Story defeated Ryan Cruz with help from Pete Huge.

Ty Cooper & Joseph "Stonehenge" Wayne defeated Red Pirate & Wrestle Machine 804.

MIW champion JD Bandit retained the title against Black Stallion.

The Academy: School of Pro Wrestling

There is a new pro wrestling training camp in MN. The Academy: School of Pro Wrestling opened up about a month ago in Brooklyn Park, MN (just north of Minneapolis). The school is owned by Shawn Daivari and Ken Anderson. Both men have worked for WWE and TNA.

Daivari and Anderson are the main trainers but they also have Arik Cannon as an assistant coach.

Another coach The Academy has is Nora "Molly Holly" Greenwald.  If you are a female looking to get in to the pro wrestling biz there is no one better to learn from then Molly Holly! She is one of the greatest female pro wrestlers of all time.

If you are looking to get into the pro wrestling biz then give The Academy a try.

PWB Breakout champion Scott Story defeated Air Wolf to retain the title.

Lore pinned Kal Creed.

Rob James beat Kody Rice.

PWB champion Darin Corbin defeated The Prophet to retain the title.

Rob James eliminated Giant Griffin to win the Rice Street Rumble. James now gets a title match with PWB champion Darin Corbin. The RSR also included Air Wolf, Angel Caido, Stonehenge, Kal Creed, Rob Justice, Scott Story, Angry Dragon, Sterling Bond, Rock Solid Ross, Kody Rice, Lore, Richard Lannsing and Venom.

The next PWB event is January 28, 2017 at Wilebski's Blues Saloon. This is their 10th anniversary event.
