NPW Lonsdale, MN 8/10/2007

Northstar Premier Wrestling held their last event of the year as they presented 'Beat Down: The Night of Hardcore' at the South 40 pub in Lonsdale, MN. The main event to this card was a 4 way hardcore rules match. The 4 men in this match were determined by 4 matches earlier in the night, all under hardcore rules.

The opening contest was an ICW/Milwaukee showcase match between Mickey McCoy and Justin Dredd. This was my first time seeing Dredd in person though I've seen many photos on line of him from Wisconsin photographer Jill Mckee. Check out Jill's online album. McCoy won the match with a roll up and hand full of Dredd's trunks.
In the first of the beat down 4 way qualifying matches Brody Hoofer beat Arya Daivari. Hoofer took one of Arya's 8x10's off the merchandise table (with out paying for it) and used a staple gun to attach it to Daivari's arm.
Esteban Molina beat Benjamin Sailer in the second beat down qualifying match.
JB Trask beat Aaron Corbin to move onto the main event. Corin some how got his pal Shimdog to step in as the referee for this match but it still didn't help him beat Trask.
Kid Krazy returned to Minnesota for this event and made sure he wasn't going way after the first match as he beat Arik Cannon to be the 4th man in the Beat Down main event.
The O'Neill Twinz beat Zero Tolerance to win the NPW tag team championship.
In a 'hair Vs career' match James Thomas beat Jayson Vaine to end the career of Vaine. I was rooting for Vaine in this match as I thought Thomas could really use a new hair cut. This match was done under hardcore rules as well. Thomas used a cheese grater to cut Vaine. There were pools of Vaines blood all over the ring as you can see at the foot of the chair in this photo.

I first saw Vaine back in 2003 at an MIW card in Brooklyn Park, MN. He had to take off time from the ring as he had a much more important battle out side the ring with cancer. He returned to the ring in 2005 bald and much thinner.
After all the blood was cleaned up from the ring it was time for the big heavy weights as Mitch Paradise defeated Skull Crusher Rashe Brown.
JB Trask won the Beat Down Fatal 4 Way Elimination Match by pinning Esteban Molina after a fire ball to the face and fall through a table. Brody Hoofer was the first one eliminated after a van terminator from Kid Krazy. Then Krazy was pinned by Trask.

*EDIT*
I added this photo of the puddle of blood that was left in the ring from the Vaine/Thomas match. Yep, it was a bloody one match.

NPW West St. Paul, MN 2/17/2007

Northstar Premier Wrestling presented No Limits III featuring a ladder match between NPW cruiserweight champion Joey Envy and Kid Krazy at the West St. Paul National Guard Amory. This card was suppose to aslo feature a battle between NPW and SDW but for some reason that battle fell apart before the 17th.
In the opening contest Arya Daivari beat former NPW cruiserweight champion JB Trask with his magic carpet ride.
Aaron Corbin beat Matt Burns. This was the first time that I have seen Burns since some time in 2003 I think. Corbin won with a yakuza kick to Matt's face. Burns has been spending some time boxing.
James Thomas beat Mitch Paradise.
Zero Tolerance (John Johnson & Black Stallion) beat the O'Neill Twinz to win the NPW tag team titles. Aaron Corbin came out to help ZT and proclaimed that he is out to get the O'Neill Twinz because Cory O'Neill pushed him out of the spotlight.
NPW heavyweight champion Big Daddy Hoofer beat some guy dressed as a former SDW champion. Hoofer then went on to beat his real opponet, Tony DeNucci.
Joey Envy beat Kid Krazy in a ladder match for the NPW cruiserweight title. These two beat the hell out of each other. The end came when Joey hit a copkiller on a pile of chairs then climed the ladder over Krazys almost lifeless body.

NPW Faribault, MN 1/26/2007

Northstar Premier Wrestling returned to Spikes Bar and Grill in Faribault, MN with a card that featured former WCW star Norman Smiley.
Arya Daivari beat the 'Main Attraction' James Thomas with the magic carpet ride. Arya's big brother must have taught him that move very well.

The NPW tag team champions Zero Tolerance, The Black Stallion & John Johnson, were going to defend the belts against a new team to NPW, Diego Corleone and Esteban Molina. But only Esteban made it to Spikes bar. He announced that he did find a partner and out came Shimdog who has been missing from the midwest pro wrestling scene for the last few months. Zero Tolerance won the match and kept the belts.
Joey Envy became the new NPW cruiserweight champion when he beat JB Trask.
NPW heavywight champion Big Daddy Hoofer w/James Thomas beat Mitch Paradise to retain the title.
The O'Neill Twinz beat Aaron Corbin and Norman Smiley in the main event of the night.

NPW Faribault, MN 12/16/2006

Northstar Premier Wrestling had some wrestling matches at Spikes Bar and Grill in Faribault, MN. I think this was their first show in this venue. All I have to say is I hate bar shows because I hate cigarette smoke. But on the plus side the ceiling was high.
The Main Attraction James Thomas beat Thoruf Marius with his feet on the ropes.
NPW Lightheavy weight champion JB Trask defeated Arya Daivari to retain the belt. Talk about your 'vet VS rookie' match this one has JB with over 3,000 matches and Arya with under 10 I believe.
The O'Neill Twinz beat Aaron Corbin & Joey Envy.
Former WCW cruiserweight champion Lenny Lane beat Tony DeNucci. I think he may or may not have cheated to get the win.
The NPW tag team champions, The Black Stallion & John Johnson beat the Big Gunns to retain their titles.

NPW VS NIW world series of wrestling West St. Pual, MN 11/4/2006

From the National Guard Armory in West St. Paul, Mn two fueding promotions faced off in a best of 7 'World Series of Wrestling'. This was the second of such events to be held in MN as the first one was held in April of 2005 when Midwest Pro Wrestling lost to Chikara of PA. That WSoW was in the name of good sportsmanship but his one between Northstar Premeir Wrestling and Norhtern Impact Wrestling was to settle a fued that started earlier this summer when NPW head John Johnson invaded NIW. For this WSoW both promtions picked 5 singles and two tag teams (one being a 4 man tag team) for the seven matches.
Darin Corbin(NIW) beat his brother Aaron Corbin (NPW) to make the score NIW 1 NPW 0.
Tony DeNucci (NPW) beat Kamikazi Klecker (NPW) and Venom (NIW) to even up the score at 1 each. This match started out as Klecker VS Venom but DeNucci didn't like the idea that Klecker was representing NPW so he put himself in the match.
Mitch Paradise (NPW) pinned Nate Bash (NIW) to make put NPW head 2 to 1.
The Junk Squad (NIW) and The Big Guns (NPW) battled to a double DQ as both teams used chairs. The score was still NPW 2 NIW 1.
NPW cruiserweight champion JB Trask retained his title against NIW's Rob James. NPW 3 NIW 1.
NIW Universal champion Kid Krazy beat Joey Envy (NPW) to make the score NPW 3 NIW 2.
The final match was a 8 man survivior match with team NIW (The Prophet, Ryan Cruz, Horace the Psycopath and Arik Cannon) VS team NPW (Black Stallion, Cody O'Neill, Magnus Maximus and John Johnson). Team NIW won when Arik Cannon pinned John Johnson after two refs were knocked out and powder and fire was used and Nora 'Molly Holly' Greenwald made the 3 count. The WSoW ended in a 3/3 tie.
After making the 3 count in the final match Nora gave the C.E.O. a stone cold stunner.

NPW Lonsdale, MN 10/28/2006

From the South 40 Pub in Lonsdale, MN Northstar Premier Wrestling put on a 6 match card.
The night started out with John Johnson VS Venom from NIW. This was a warm up for the NPW VS NIW world series of wrestling that takes place on 11/4/2006. Johnson got the 3 count in this match.
In a NPW try out match Malikite wrestled Ryan Stone. The match ended when NPW heavyweight champion Magnus Maximus came to the ring and beat both men. Magnus got on the mic and talked about how he was taking the NPW belt with him when he leaves for the WWE developmental territories.
In his third pro match Arya Daivari beat Aaron Corbin. He finished off Corbin with his brothers old move, the magic carpet ride.
Joey Envy beat Prime Time even thougth Prime Time had a cast on his left hand.
Cody O'Neill beat Craven Knyte.
The main event was scheduled to be Magnus Maximus defending his NPW heavy weight title against Black Stallion but it turned into a 4 man tag match. John Johnson and Big Daddy Hoofer were added to the match. Magnus had Stallion in a boston crab when Venom came in the ring and hit Magnus witht he title belt. This lead to Big Daddy Hoofer and James Thomas teaming up on Stallion to get the pin. The new NPW heavy weight champ- Big Daddy Hoofer.

NPW West St. Paul 9/16/2006

Northstar Premier Wrestling held their first big card at the West St. Paul Armory. NPW came about from the old Neo Pro as the co-owners of Neo Pro went their seperate ways.
The card started out with Aaron Corbin vs Ryan Cruz. The fans were a bit surpised to see Cruz come out of the back as he mainly wrestled for NIW and this was his first time in NPW/Neo Pro in many months. Cruz picked up the win in this match with a roll up.
The Big Gunns (Big Daddy Hoofer & James Thomas) beat The Black Stallion & Tony DeNucci.
JB Trask retained his NPW cruiser weight title against Joey Envy, Nate Bash and Kamakazi Klecker.
The former WCW cruiser weight champion Lenny Lane beat former Neo Pro & MPW cruiser weight champ Kid Krazy when Krazy tapped out to a boston crab.
Magnus Maximus & Mitch Paradise beat Cody & Corey O'Neill to win the NPW tag team title.
The main event of the night was a match that has been month in the making. Neo Pro/NPW's John Johnson challenged NIW's Arik Cannon to a match. Both these wrestlers started in the old MPW but never faced each other one on one untill this night. Johnson got the win on this night but only after he got help from the NIW C.E. O. who is seen in the photo on the bottom right.
