NPW West St. Paul 9/16/2006

Northstar Premier Wrestling held their first big card at the West St. Paul Armory. NPW came about from the old Neo Pro as the co-owners of Neo Pro went their seperate ways.
The card started out with Aaron Corbin vs Ryan Cruz. The fans were a bit surpised to see Cruz come out of the back as he mainly wrestled for NIW and this was his first time in NPW/Neo Pro in many months. Cruz picked up the win in this match with a roll up.
The Big Gunns (Big Daddy Hoofer & James Thomas) beat The Black Stallion & Tony DeNucci.
JB Trask retained his NPW cruiser weight title against Joey Envy, Nate Bash and Kamakazi Klecker.
The former WCW cruiser weight champion Lenny Lane beat former Neo Pro & MPW cruiser weight champ Kid Krazy when Krazy tapped out to a boston crab.
Magnus Maximus & Mitch Paradise beat Cody & Corey O'Neill to win the NPW tag team title.
The main event of the night was a match that has been month in the making. Neo Pro/NPW's John Johnson challenged NIW's Arik Cannon to a match. Both these wrestlers started in the old MPW but never faced each other one on one untill this night. Johnson got the win on this night but only after he got help from the NIW C.E. O. who is seen in the photo on the bottom right.

NIW 9/1/2006 Crystal, MN

From the Crystal Ballroom in Crystal, MN Northern Impact Wrestling held the first night of their 'Welcome Back Weekend' with the return of Jerry Lynn to his home state of Minnesota.
The first match on the card was Horace the Psychopath vs Kamikaze Klecker. The 15 plus year vet Horace easily beat the much younger Klecker.
After Horace's match his fellow members of the Junk Squad came out to challenge Jerry Lynn to face any one in the Junk Squad. Lynn came out and got a really quick pin on Horace. Which was very surprising seeing how those two had many great matches over 10 years ago here in the twin cities area.
In the first Strive to Survive tag team tournament match for the NIW tag team titles The Junk Squad beat Ben Sailer & Nate Bash.
Cody O'Neill and Arik Cannon went to a 30 minute time limit draw, their second in a row. After the match Cannon challenged O'Neill to a one hour iron man match. No word on if or when that will take place.
The Prophet retained the NIW Impact championship when he beat Ryan Cruz.
101 Proof beat Tep & Jones to advance in the Strive to Survive tag team tourney.
The NIW Universal champion Kid Krazy beat Joey Envy to retain the title.
Former IWA MS heavyweight champion Darin Corbin beat former ECW heavyweight champion Jerry Lynn. This was Jerry's first time on a wrestling card in his home state in over 3 years.
