Steel Domain Wrestling has released a DVD called "Pro Wrestling Stars: Before the Big Time". This DVD features some of the top stars today in matches that took place in SDW from 1998 to 2005. Wrestlers on the DVD include WWE's CM Punk, current ROH champion Austin Aries, TNA Knockout ODB, WWE's Bam Neeley/Magnus Maximus and TNA/WWE's Ken "Kennedy" Anderson. Other notables on the DVD are former WCW cruiser weight champion Lenny Lane, WWE's Scotty Goldman/Colt Cabana, former TNA star Shawn "Sheik Abdul Bashir" Daivari and ROH's Ace Steel. And speaking of photos on the cover...I got the photo cover of Pro Wrestling Illustrated Wrestling Annual. I took the photo of Shawn Michaels & Triple H at the Rochester, MN RAW house show last month.
To open the night The Northstar Express, Ryan Cruz & Darin Corbin came out and talked some smack about womens wrestling. Tammy "Sunny" Sytch and Nora "Molly Holly" Greenwald came out to put NSE in their place by giving them a low blow and tossing them out of the ring.
In the opening match Ann Brookstone defeated Allison Wonderland.
Next up was a bikini contest that was judged by dj's from 94x.
Christy Hemme & Benjamin Sailer defeated Arik Cannon & Allson Wonderland in a mixed tag match. During this match Cannon kissed referee Rob Page on the lips.
Nikki Roxx pinned Sojo Bolt with Tammy Sytch as referee.
In the main event O.D.B. pinned Awesome Kong with a roll up/Molly go round. Greenwald was the referee for this match.
The card started with a men's match as Arya Daivari came out and claimed that the fans there didn't want to see women's wrestling. Cpl. Julio Julio came out to wrestle Daivari but all he go for his trouble was a big cut on his head as he was thrown from the ring by TNA's Tara. Terra then brought out Stacy Carter, aka Ms Kitty, and they both slapped Daivari silly.
Sojo Bolt defeated Daffney in her return to First Ave. When Bolt was know as just Josie she had her second ever match in this same building.
Allison Wonderland won a bikini contest. Also featured in this contest was Nikki Mayday who has done some back stage interviews on the F1rst Wrestling DVD's. Lacey Von Erich was scheduled for this event but she did not make it for some reason.
Nikki Roxx defeated Ann Brookstone in a falls count anywhere hard core match. Roxx pushed Brookstone face first into a pile of thumb tacks then rolled her up for the three count. The original WWE diva Sunny was the special guest referee for this match.
Arik Cannon & Christy Hemme defeated Pete Huge & Allison Wonderland in a mixed tag match.
In the main event O.D.B. defeated Awesome Kong with a roll up/Molly Go Round. Nora "Molly Holly" Greenwald was the special guest referee for this match.

Three of my photos appear on the poster for the up coming Heavy On Wrestling/F1rst Wrestling all woman (plus 2 guys) card. This event takes place at First Ave in Minneapolis, MN. In the opening contest "6% Bodyfat" Rob James challenged any fat slob to a match. Venom came out for that challenge and defeated James.
TNA wrestler AJ Styles was scheduled to be in the main event against Shannon Moore who was unable to attend. Unfortuantly Styles was unable to wrestle as well because of an injury that took place at a TNA tv taping earlier in the week. Styles came out to tell the crowd that he could not wrestle. Brody Hoofer came out to complain about not getting the chance to beat Styles in the main event on this night. Styles told Hoofer and the fans that he brought a replacement from TNA for his match.
Kamekazi Klecker defeated Josh Calisto when the match was stopped due to Calisto not being able to continue after he hit his head on the concreat floor from the move in the photo to the left. 911 was called and an ambalance was set for Calisto. Later in the night Calisto returned from the hospital and appeared to be ok.
M-Dogg Matt Cross & O.D.B. defeated "Playboy" Pete Huge & Allison Wonderland and Joey Envy & Ann Brookstone in a 3 tag team match.
Arik Cannon defeated Horace the Psychopath in a Sartell street fight that never made it into the streets of Sartell. Cannon got the pin on Horace after a senton from the ring apron on to a table. Both men were a bloody mess after this match.
The Northstar Express defeated Faith in Nothing and Midwest Ground & Air in a 3 tag team match. ECHO Pro champion Darin Corbin pinned Christian Faith. Not sure if this means that Midwest Ground & Airs Minnesota win streak is over or not seeing as how they didn't get pinned in this match.
Billy Gunn (He came out to his old WWE DX music) defeated Big Brody Hoofer in the main event. The appearance of Gunn was a real surprise to the crowd and they got really loud when he came out. With the DX music playing the fans didn't really know who was coming out as it could have been one of 2 men from TNA. But I think that the word most have gotten out to one fan in the front row who was wearing a Billy & Chuck t-shirt. Really, who owns one of those shirts yet alone wears one to a wrestling show?
Arya & Shawn (TNA's Abdul Bashir) Daivari defeated Faith in Nothing. This was my first time ever seeing Faith in Nothing, a team from Ohio.
Cpl. Julio Julio defeated "The Law" Mark Barker and Josh Colisto in a triple threat match when he made Colisto tap out.
M Dogg 20 Matt Cross & O.D.B. defeated Black Stallion & Ann Brookstone in an inter gender tag team match. Cross pinned Stallion after a shooting star press.
Petey Williams defeated Arik Cannon. One of the most awesome sites at this event (not counting the fans bring the weapons match) was when Williams was out side the ring doing some push ups. There was a group of about 8 young boys who were cheering Williams on. When he started doing the push ups a bunch of the kids got down and did push ups along with him. This match recieved a "this is awesome" chant from part of the crowd.
Darin Corbin defeated "Playboy" Pete Huge to become the first ECHO Pro champion. Corbin had some help in his corner in the form of Nikki Mayday as he knew that Huge would have Allison Wonderland in his corner.
In the main event Kamekazi Klecker won a 5 man fans bring the weapons elimination match. Horace was the first wrestler eliminated followed by Rob James, Ryan Cruz and then Joey Envy. Klecker pinned Evny after his Kleck Klash on to 4 light tubes.
On the August 28th 2008 edtion of TNA Impact former MN wrestler Josie made her Impact debut as she wrestled the Amazing Kong. This was actually her second match with TNA and Kong but that was on a PPV and she used the name Josie Robinson then. With Josie's debut on Impact TNA gave her a new name but it was so hard to remember I couldn't tell you what it is.
Josie started training with Terry Fox and Eddie Sharkey back in 2002 and begain wrestling in 2003. Here she is in a match against Rain in St. Paul, MN on December 6th, 2003. She wrestled twice that day as this match was in the afternoon and then she wrestled in Annandale, MN against Lacey.
In a match from June 23, 2004 Josie teamed with fellow TNA knockout O.D.B. to defeat Angel Williams and Ms Natural.
In the opening contest Venom defeated the Prophet.
The second match of the night was a battle royal. All the wrestlers on the card were in the battle royal plus The Barking Spiders and Josh Colisto who were not in any other matches. The winner of the battle royal was Bad Boy Brian.
Tommy "Spiderbaby" Saturday defeated Bad Boy Brian in the third match of the night. This is the second time I've seen Spiderbaby pick on someone much smaller then himself.
The team of O.D.B. & Daphne defeated Ann Brookstone & Arik Cannon. There were 3 more matches after intermission but I was unable to photograph those. Referree Rob Page had his hands full in this match.
In the opening match Midwest Ground & Air defeated the Northstar Express when Benjamin Sailer pinned Ryan Cruz.
Shane Hollister defeated Kamikazie Klecker in the second match of the card.
Thoruf Marius pinned Brody Hoofer. After the match Hoofer offered to shake Marius's hand. Marius shook Hoofers hand but then attacked him.
In a mixed tag team match O.D.B. & Horace the Psycopath defeated Arya Daivari & Ann Brookstone. O.D.B. pinned Daivari after she used his carpet for her own magic carpet ride. I believe that a few years ago O.D.B. beat Arya's brother Shawn for the MPW cruiser weight title.
"The King of Throw Down"Venom defeated "6% Body Fat" Rob James. These two have wrestled against each other many times.
ROH tag team champion Tyler Black defeated Joey Envy.
The Junk Squad beat Arik Cannon & Cody O'Neill when Pete Huge pinned Cannon. After the match O'Neill attacked Cannon and called out his old partner Aaron Corbin.
