My first card of 2008 was this last Saturday night at the
Chanhassen American Legion as
Minnesota Independent Wrestling packed the house.
The first match of the night was for the
MIW heavy weight championship as champion
Big Brody Hoofer took on former champion
'Playboy' Pete Huge. With a little outside help and a low blow, Huge won the belt.
In the second match of the card
Chase McCoy defeated
Arya Daivari.
Thoruf Marius defeated
Darrel Hall. This was my first time seeing Marius in action since his training in Japan with Pro Wrestling Noah.
Mickey McCoy defeated
Benjamin Sailer. McCoy had helped Huge earlier in the night so Huge returned the favor for McCoy. This set a tag team match for the main event that the fans demanded.
Matt Burns pinned
Mitch Paradise.
Brody Hoofer & Benjamin Sailer defeated
Pete Huge & Mickey McCoy. For the tag team main event
commissioner Terry Fox made the stipulation that if Hoofer pinned Huge then he would win the
MIW title back. Brody pinned Huge so he is once again the
MIW heavy weight champion.
